    The sterile SyriSOL®™ PE ampoules with 1.5 ml NaCl solution 0.9% are designed for drug use. The ampoule size of 1.5 ml was chosen in order to prevent possible reuse of the remaining contents for safety reasons.


    The NaCl solution 0.9% (= isotonic saline) contains 9 grams of cooking salt per liter. The preparation is aseptic, which requires a very high technical effort. After production, the ampoules are not immediately put into circulation, instead there is a quarantine time while an analysis certificate is created multiple times. Only after several weeks does the product become available for use. It is not the content but the production process that is costly; 5 and 10 ml ampoules have approximately the same cost.
